Law Enforcement

• Be at least 21 at time of application

• Be legally authorized to work in the US

• Be a resident of Illinois or become a resident upon certification

• Reside within the residential boundaries within a year of appointment

• Hold a valid Illinois drivers license

• Not have any felony conviction nor a domestic violence conviction nor a dishonorable discharge from military service

• Pass the P.O.W.E.R. test at testing date and prior to entry in the academy

• Have a high school diploma or G.E.D.
